Instagram’s save feature is pretty simple and intuitive – you see a post you want to revisit, you click the bookmark icon, and the post is directed to the “saved” page of your account. Easy. But, what happens when you decide to share a post or a collection of posts with friends, family, or colleagues? Well, sharing a single image or video is no problem. You would simply click on the media to be directed to the original post and share as usual. However, this process does not work for a collection of posts.
Spin is a mobile app concept intended to enhance the experience of streaming and sharing media, including music, podcasts, films, and news. The concept is designed as a social networking platform, which allows for engagement between content creators and their audience.
In effort to optimize Amazon’s web experience, I opted to design a system that embraced simplicity, accessibility, and a fluid user flow.
While navigating YouTube, I often find myself saving videos to a playlist in order to watch them at a later time. Saving all of the videos, I intend to revisit, to a single playlist will cause the list to become cluttered and overwhelming to browse over time. Unfortunately, having numerous playlists makes the process of archiving a video more cumbersome, because Youtube lacks a search field within their “save to playlist” feature. This process is even more complicated by the fact that the playlists are not sorted alphabetically within the save component.
In early May of 2020, as some states lifted social distancing restrictions, restaurants started reopening.
Americans are keen to dining outside of their homes. However, there is a renewed sense of caution as coronavirus cases soar in parts of the United States.
At the same time, diners crave to show solidarity and community support, as 60% of restaurants face permanent closures.
Like UX, effective visual communication design is primarily based on the audience’s comprehension of the context displayed rather than their appeal to the aesthetic. My approach to creating comprehensive design for editorial and print media derives from my process of developing effective user experience designs. My ultimate goal is to communicate information in the most meaningful, yet enjoyable way possible.
